    Sergio Silva is a writer, director and programmer. In partnership with João Marcos de Almeida, directed the short films "My friend who worked with Manoel de Oliveira", who turned 100 years old, "Sarau in bed" and wrote the screenplays for "The beautiful P …" and "Eva Nil one hundred years without movies". He directed the short “Meat" and "The role of the mantle". Did the research of Rogério Sganzerla archives for the feature film "Mr. Sganzerla", by Joel Pizzini, and was executive producer assistant in "light in the darkness", feature filme directed by Helena Ignez and Icarus C. Martins. He worked as assistant director on "Power affections", Helena Ignez. Programmer of Brazilian Cinematheque, where he made retrospectives of Carlos Reichenbach, Andrea Tonacci, Alain Resnais, Leos Carax, Cinema da Boca do Lixo, José Mojica Marins, Walter Hugo Khouri, Karim Aïnouz, Marguerite Duras, among others. Member of the collective Filmes do Caixote, was the assistant director in the feature film "When I was alive", Marco Dutra, and performed other functions in different movies of the collective. Currently, he is working a new film for the series "The sound and the time", a partnership with Canal Brasil, Dezenove Som e Imagens and Filmes do Caixote.
