    João Nicolau

    João Nicolau was born in 1975 in Lisbon, Portugal. Works as a director, editor, actor and musician . His feature film, "A Espada e a Rosa", premiered at the Venice Film Festival 2010, came after two shorts that reached remarkable success:  Canção de Amor e Saúde (2009), that after your debut in Cannes was awarded 9 times in festivals such as Belfort, Brive, Recife and Rio de Janeiro and was exhibited by more than 20 festivals around the world. Rapace, his first short-film (2006), also premiered at Cannes, has been selected for over 60 International festivals and rewarded, among others, in Milan, Belfort, Réus and Vila do Conde.
